We kicked of July with cousin Ryan's first birthday! I *still* can't believe that he's one! Matt & Cindy threw a HUGE celebration with all of their family and friends! It was a lot of fun, although 70 people singing to Ryan was a little overwhelming for him!
Ryan really did like the chair that we got him. Really.

Fourth of July!
We celebrated Grant's first fourth of July with Aunt Katie-Kate and Uncle Julian! Growing up my family always hosted a fourth party and I am looking forward to future fourths watching the fireworks as a family, writing our name with sparklers and eating S'Mores over an open fire! YUM!
Arts Festival & Ear Infections
Mommy and Grant went to State College so that we and Grammie could go to the Arts Festival and People's Choice. Mommy could tell that he sweet baby wasn't feeling well, so she took him to a walk-in clinic and sure enough - Grant's first ear infection. Boooo!

Mountain Climber
Grant learned how to climb stairs. It was amazing -- it's not like he learned how to climb *a* stair. He just started scaling them! I was impressed at how fast he was at it! Let the baby proofing begin! Here is a video of his first climb!
How sweet it really is!
Matt & Cindy (and Ryan) and Grammie and Pooh Bear came for a weekend! We went out to lunch at The Hotel Hershey and enjoyed walking around the resort. It was fun to see the boys really play together. Everyone just stared at them and smiled and how could you not? Truly a great summer weekend!
Christmas in July!
Since Penn State reseated their stadium to move the student section around (among other things) we were able to upgrade and move our season tickets! We moved all 6 of our tickets to 35 yard line about 35 rows up! We still have our same parking spot and since the tickets mailed in July and are now in our possession, we are most excited for the season to start! GO LIONS!
The "Deets" on July:
Grant started eating mostly "adult" food... AKA whatever we eat and that boy LOVES to eat. He was introduced to blueberry waffles at Ryan's birthday party and they now have become our morning staple. The tooth next to his top middle started poking through, bringing the teeth count to SIX!!
He continued to be quite the talker, adding "mum-ma" and "da-da" and other gibberish that he acts like we should understand. My favorite is of course "mum-ma" and then he looks for me... be still my heart! He also started to wave, clap, and high five!
Grant's favorite things to do include walking with the walker, opening and closing the cupboards, climbing the stairs, playing peek and being chased! His dislikes are being told "no touch" or "no" in general! He started putting his head down as if to throw a baby tantrum! It's really kinda cute...
