JUNE UPDATES!

Sail Away Sail Away
Mommy and Daddy went on a cruise the first week of June for our 30th birthdays. And while we were away, Grant went on vacation too! He went to Camp Gramp and Grammie! Grammie and Pooh Bear would send us a daily email of all of the fun stuff that he was doing! And no doubt Grant sure had a great time!
The view off Mommy & Daddy's private deck.
But we sure missed out on this:

Grant's first bites of ice cream! At the Penn State Creamery, too!
He liked Peachy Paterno, but preferred the strawberry!

Grammie and Pooh Bear bought you a pool, too, so you could go swimming! Such fun!

Happy 1st Father's Day, Daddy!
June also brought Mark's first Father's Day. We celebrated by spending some quality time with daddy - DUH!

The Big 3-0!
Mommy turned 30 -- eeeek! We went out to lunch with Grammie and Pooh Bear and Daddy! And there were two cakes! Grant enjoyed both! Unfortunately this mommy can't find any pictures from her big day!

Round on the ends, Hi in the Middle: O-HI-O
Grammie had a doctor's appointment in Ohio, so Grant and I decided to make the trip with her. Grant surprised me and was a great traveler! It was nice to be "home" and spend some time with Gran-Papa Steve and Gran-Mama Phyl! Grant also enjoyed his first McDonald's french fry on his way home from this trip. Let's just say he LOVED it!

The "deets" on June:
Grant got three top teeth in June. The middle front top two and the one next to his left top tooth. This brought the "doofer" count to 5 teeth! These 5 teeth are good for eating - which might be Grant's favorite thing to do. He starting eating most of mom's meals on top of his baby food!

He continued to sleep through the night (8pm-7am) with two naps, each 1-2 hours. Even in the hot, hot summer, he insists on using his soft blanket to sleep. While we were on vacation Grant started sleeping on his belly with his tush in the air. (Super cute!)

June also brought on more conversations. He continues to make the "Grant Grunt" and talk up a storm. He also shakes his head "no." And he seems to know what it means!

In June Grant was crawling everywhere and pulling himself up on EVERYTHING! And at the end of the month he started to stand all by himself! Favorite toys include cell phones, remote controls, kitchen tupperware and utensils. We also started going to Library Hour. Grant at first was a little uncertain of the library time, but by the end of the first class loved being with the other kiddos and singing all of the songs.

At his 9 month check up Grant weighed 19lbs, 8 oz (31%) and was 29 3/8" (87%). He's super happy and healthy. And the best thing about the 9 month appointment?? No shots!
